June 2, 3 & 4, 1995
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Our First Club Event

The first Terrier Trial hosted by our club was held in Jackson Hole, Wyoming June 2-4, 1995 at the Spring Creek Equestrian Center. Spring Creek was the home of Elk Creek Russells at the time. Robin and Bill Wiess owners of the Center were gracious enough to let us use the grounds. Horses and Russells just naturally go together and the Wiess's loved the Russells. We began the event with a BBQ on Friday evening as people began to come in for the weekend. We had participants from Arizona, California, South Dakota, Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Montana and New Mexico.  We had two days of racing, GTG, and conformation under the Grand Tetons. The big tents were rolled out with 57 Jacks particpating. We constructed elaborate GTG liners underground with scented tunnels in the brush part of the property. Simulated but very authentic looking. This was the first big celebration for our newly established club.
